Liverpool drawn against TNS

Liverpool have been drawn against League of Wales champions TNS in the first qualifying round of the Champions League.

Liverpool will be at home for the first leg which is scheduled for the 12th or 13th of July. The return leg will be played the following week.

It’s not clear yet whether TNS will be allowed to move their leg to another venue, but they had said earlier in the season that they’d love to play the Reds at the Millennium Stadium if they were to play each other. Another option talked about is to play the game at Wrexham’s Racecource Ground (ironically where Liverpool play their reserve matches).

The winners of the game between TNS and Liverpool will face a trip to either Lithuania or the Faroes, with a tie against the winners of game 3 – HB Torshavn or FBK Kaunas .
