Following on from the tremendous success of Liverpool’s season review DVD, the next DVD that Reds fans will want to get their hands on will be "Liverpool – The Road to Istanbul".
The season review DVD – entitled "Champions of Europe 2005" – showed every Liverpool goal from last season, not just the Champions League games. It features snippets of interviews, including some from the open-top bus during the victory parade, but the amount of games Liverpool played last season means that only very brief highlights of each game are on the disc.
The new DVD release is dedicated to the Champions League victory in its entirety. Spread over two discs, it not only includes all the highlights from the qualifiers, group and knock-out stages, but also the whole of the final. Right up to Jerzy’s heroics in the penalty shoot-out.
The disc is due for release on July 18th, although this is subject to change as it is still in production. As soon as we have more information we’ll let you know.
Confirmed so far:
Disc 1:
All the goals and highlights from Liverpool’s Champions’ League run. Starts with the qualifiers and goes through every game up to and including the semi final.
Disc 2:
The Final in its entirety. All 90 minutes of normal time, plus extra time, and the penalty shoot out. Also features the victory parade through the city the following evening.
