You have to admire the Premier Leagues timing with the TV packages coming up for grabs, ESPN announcing they intend to bid and Sky's profits on the wane. If they have to happen these games should open the season based on the previous league table. With 4 strong contenders the fight is likely to go the wire for the forseeable future. Who wants the prospect of the trophy being flown out to Tokyo to be presented and what about the prospect of a team being relegated on the last day due to a controversial decision - if the rival sets of supporters decide to rip out the seats or wreck the town centre what will that do for the global brand image.
