According to reports coming from Denmark this morning, Daniel Agger’s transfer has been held up pending the results of a second medical. Agger was out for three months recently with a knee injury, and it’s this injury that is the focus of the second medical.
There’s nothing to suggest that anything has been found wrong with the knee, more that Liverpool (and probably their insurers) are being cautious before splashing out £5.8million on the player.
Assuming no problems are found this morning, we expect Liverpool to unveil the player later today.
It’s also been reported that the Danish FA are willing to let Agger skip their under-21 training camp if he signs for the Reds. Agger was due to attend the get-together which would have kept him away from Melwood until the end of the month.
