Liverpool and Aston Villa have now agreed a fee with Liverpool for Czech striker Milan Baros. Reports vary as to the amount of the fee, but it is believed to be just £6million, with options in the deal for that to rise conditionally to £6.5million.
According to Villa’s official website, Baros will have a medical before signing a four-year-deal tomorrow. Villa spokesman Steve Stride said: "We’ve reached an agreement with Liverpool to sign the player and the next step is for him to have a medical. Hopefully we can soon conclude the deal."
Baros is believed to have a agreed a contract worth £30,000 per week which, although higher than his current £25,000 at Anfield, is less than Lyon were prepared to offer.
If the deal goes through then Baros will be joining his compatriate Patric Berger in the Midlands.
Nolberto Solano has not been announced as part of any deal.
