Cisse supports the campaign for justice

Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse scored for France in their victory  earlier in the week on his return to international football after a lengthy absence.

Cisse was also a scorer in the penalty shoot-out that gave Liverpool their fifth European title.

When Djibril – the new Lord of the Manor of Frodsham – was interviewed recently he told the world how grateful he was to Liverpool’s medical staff in particular, but to the club and the fans as a whole. One of the ways he is showing that gratitude is by wearing one of the red wristbands to raise awareness for the campaign for justice for those Reds fans that lost their lives at Hillsborough in 1989.

We featured a story recently that showed Steven Gerrard also wearing one of the bands.

If you’d like to wear one of these bands yourself, or want to know more about what the wearing of one signifies, more information can be found in our earlier article, or by clicking the Justice link on our menu.
