Owen fancies move to Liverpool

Reports this weekend have been linking Owen Hargreaves with a move to Anfield this summer – and the player himself says he fancies the idea.

The reports claim that Hargreaves would be moving to Anfield in a £2.5million deal.

Hargreaves is set to play for Bayern Munich in the German equivalent of the FA Cup final before he makes a decision on his future. After being asked about the links to a move to Anfield he said: "Liverpool are a very interesting club. They are a very strong
team and it is clear they have a bright future under Rafael Benitez. But really I don’t want to say more until the German cup final against
Schalke 04 is out of the way."

Hargreaves has been linked with Liverpool on numerous occasions in the past, and Liverpool are reported to be fighting with Spurs and Blackburn to sign the player. He’s 24 years old now and has been told by England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson that he needs to be playing in the Premiership if he wants to improve his chances of making the World Cup squad for the 2006 tournament in Germany.
