English golfer Laura Davies is trying to get some inspiration from the success that Rafael Benitez has brought to Liverpool FC.
Davies hasn’t won a tournament for 15 months but is currently leading the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship. Laura is a big fan of Liverpool and decided that she would get the logo of the Reds put onto the grip of her new putter. She said, "I thought since they got to the Champions League final then maybe it would bring me some luck. This is my fourth putter in five tournaments and it seemed to work." Whilst Davies is pleased to see the new putter is so far changing her fortunes, she’s a little disappointed that existing commitments mean she won’t be able to watch the Reds in action in Istanbul. |
