Liverpool’s long association with brewers Carlsberg looks set to continue after all. The current deal expires at the end of the season, and stories had been circulating that Liverpool were going to lose the sponsor that’s been with them since 1992.
No details have yet been released, the story broke tonight in the local press. Whatever the amount on offer from Carlsberg, it means Rafa Benitez will have a better idea of his summer budget as he looks to strengthen his squad.
If Carlsberg do sign up with Liverpool again then there will no need for the home shirt to change. The away shirt was already scheduled to be changed this summer.
